The Jinshang Museum, located at 101 Fudong Street, Xinghualing district, Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi province, covers 100,000 square meters, including 30,000 sq m of floor space and 18,000 sq m of exhibition area.
It provides various functions such as collection, exhibition, conference-hosting, reception, and external engagement, mainly focusing on the history of Jin merchants and the commercial culture they created. The Jinshang Museum used to be the location of the Shanxi Provincial People's Government.
In September, 2017, the Shanxi Provincial Government relocated, and the building was turned into the Jinshang Museum, integrating cultural relics, ancient architecture, and garden landscapes.
